Question 1980 911sc Targa: Paint/Carpet Work

Hello everyone! I was quoted the other day by a repeatable body shop in Chicago that has been painting and restoring European cars for more than 30 years; $8,000.00 to $10,000 to repaint and re carpet my 1980sc, with all new body seals and weather stripping. The car was painted in 1986 from the original color, brown to guards red. The car to date has some minor ares where the paint is bubbling and rust is forming. Does anyone think this price is fair for this type of work? Has anyone had this type of work done to their car recently that can give me suggestion's and or tips?

Thanks!

That is how much your entire car is worth after you have painted it. Is it worth it to you?
