Wevo Shift Coupler Install Question
A couple of quick questions to those who have walked this path of Wevo enlightenment before me:
1) On the OEM coupler, the set screw head was flush with the coupler. When installing it in the Wevo, I cannot screw the set screw all the way in to the coupler. In other words, it seems like about half of the set screw threads are sticking out the top of the hole. Am I doing something wrong? 2) What is the best/easiest way to align the shifter after install? Many thanks, y'all.

1. There is a locating hole on the transmission shift rod. Is the setscrew properly located in it? If so, just tighten the set screw properly.
2. Go to the Wevo web site and download the instructions for the Wevo 915 shifter. It has instructions for aligning the shifter after installing that will work. Basically, you put the transmission in a known gear (preferrably third) before starting, then afterwards, with the transmission still in the same gear, align the shifter in the proper position (e.g. the same position as before you began), then tighten the pinch bolt on the coupler. |

Thanks. I resolved the set-screw issue: unlike the stock coupler, with the WEVO coupler the set screw does not screw down flush with the coupler. This seems to be due to the different thicknesses of the couplers.
As for alignment, I've got the radial alignment (right/left) figured out. Any idea how to tell whether the axial (fore/aft) alignment is correct other than proper shift action? In other words, is it possible that even though the shifter is engaging every gear, the transmission shift rod is over or under engaged? If so, any idea on how to address this?
