Double check your torque settings before you grab the wrench!
Double check the specs before you grab the torque wrench
Pressure plate bolts require 18 foot pounds and not 32. 32 is the trans to the motor spec. One afternoon wasted and one set of 9 new bolts being overnighted and I'll be back on track. grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. I'm feeling much better now. |
Hopefully you'll get that Omega clip by the weekend :)

This has been one of those projects.... Sigh.
Thanks for all your help. |
And don't forget to relax the torque wrench spring after you're done by reducing the torque setting to minimum or "stop" before putting it away.

Could be worse ... you might have to be waiting on a new set of 9 mm rod bolts like at least one Pelican did after using the M10 spec on the M9 bolts in his 3.2??? Yield testing your fasteners is not a fun thing to do when you would just like to get the car running again!
