How to ID chain tensioner upgrade on 2.2?
As a previous SC owner I am little unsure how to ID the chain tensioner update on a 2.2 motor (70T). Is this it?

![]() The line from the block to the cam tower will have another line that runs to the middle of the chain cover ...if its an upgrade.

This is what it would look like, installed. Right side. (Photo thanks to Pelican)
The tell-tale sign is the small oil line going to the cam cover. You will see it on both sides. ![]()

Those are non Carrera tensioners but the other question if the ones you have are the old ones or the later Turbo ones. The only way to know is to remove the chain covers and check the tensioer part numbers.
