He says Ice Green Metallic, but if it's original it looks like Lind Green to me. If you can get the paint code from them you will know. The code is on the plaque you can see on the drivers a-post. The paint looks original and the car looks good, just needs some Fuchs, H4s and Euro bumperettes now

The lighting throws the tint off (yellowish) in some of the pictures but it looks like Ice Green Metallic to me.

According to my chart (no guarantee of accuracy!!) the greens available for 1977 were:

CODE COLOR
137 Lime Green
213 Irish Green
258 Shamrock Green
260 Sebring Green
265 Oak Green Met
266 Ice Green Met
L62Y Signal Green

I'm not sure if these are Porsche codes, or just ID codes on the chart.

IIRC, the Ice Green Metallic came out on the 930 in Europe in 1976 while I was living there. I don't believe the VM car is Ice Green -too dark, too green. The link that David Clark provides is Much more accurate.

Unless the color is off in the photos, it is not lindgruen (light green) metallic, either. The code on that is 275.

Here is a link to a 1978 928 with original paint in that color:
