Thumbs up Congrats Paul Rodelo! Article in Excellence

It must be great to have your car recognized and recorded for posterity in a multi-national Porsche publication.

Beautiful car and I'm looking forward to reading the article trackside at this weekend PCA DE up here in Canada

it's weird how so many cars featured in excellence are cars that have been for sale for a long time.

Congrats Paul! I have to admit, I didn't realize it was a Turbo until I read the article.

Also, congrats to Chris Nielsen! They both look GREAT in print. Good articles on them too!

"Twobone"

Thanks for your intial post of Congratulations.
I did not know the issue was in print.
I should be receiving my issue soon.
Hell, can't wait....gotta take a trip to Barnes & Noble after work.

BTW....since it is a Turbo, I plan to show it at the up and coming
German Auto Fest.
Turbo's are the featured car this year.
In addition, I frequent the weekly Cars & Coffee show in Irvine.
I hope to see some Pelicans at both shows.
Please come and say hi.

Thank you all for your support: my good friend Doug (DW SD) Bob (Aircool) Hal Michael, Tom Ridings (Mollies dad), Ray Crawford, Mark Mottshagen, Paul Kraemer Jeff/Alan/Jose (AASE Motors), Steve Alarcon (Suspension Specialties), Jim (Jim East Paint) 911S Registry, 912 Registry, PCA GPX, PCA OC, PCA San Gabriel...and the 3 people who started it all..Max Dunham (Dad's Air Force buddy)...took a ride in his 62 356B & 67 912 at age 5 or 6....I sill remember that day. My grammer school Track Coach Frank Arias (Orig Owner 67 912) We still keep in touch. Lastly, my dad who frequents the Weekly Cars & Coffee show...Thanks Dad.

But most of all...my beautiful wife Judy who gives me the time to enjoy my passion of Porsche Cars. We were married 1-20-2007.

Hey Paul,
Great looking 930!!

I was reading the article and said to myself, "so THAT'S why he was selling off his bumpers and interior bits...". It turned out awsome!! I'll hopefully see you at the Fest on Main St.

Porsche Crest Have yet to receive my Issue :(

Thanks Everyone!!

Hey Gary...you are right! They are similiar.

Are you running an I/C under a duck-tail too?
Action shots are always great.

On another note:
I've checked the mail and I've gone on-line calling Barnes & Noble hoping someone has received the issue in store.
Maybe someone can tell me about it.

How did the photos come out?
Describe the photos?
How'd the article come out?

Man, it's killing me not being able to see it myself.

Paul

I didn't know the car prior to the article. I think it presented it well. I was impressed. Good move with the black finish on the Lindseys. I always thought they looked funny polished. I thought they were 16s!

Paul & Judy,
Serious congratulations! Quite an accomplishment, especially for a car that was on the block for a bit.

I'm glad you kept the car!!

Doug

No, standard tail. Did the stock I/C fit under the ducktail? I wonder how the duck is for downforce at 130+? I'd love to run one...

The shot is her maiden voyage at Watkins Glen, would estimate around 100 MPH up through the S's (as pictured) as she topped out at 134 (according to my GPS) in 3rd gear on the back straight. A G50 is being installed this week and I would assume 145+ is easily attainable (on the same track), even by me. The duck is pretty, just wonder how light the rear will be at those speeds.

I just bought the magazine yesterday (12th) and scanned through the article really quickly. I'll read it in detail asap. I had a feeling it belonged to one of us.

Congratulations!

Porsche Crest Hey, Finally Got An Issue In Hand!

Doug, Thanks for mentioning my wife Judy. Yes she has been a big part of me enjoying Porsche Cars.

Scott, thanks for the compliment on the wheels. Ya, the black satin hides the different lip of the BBS halves and gives it a smaller diameter look. Thanks for noticing.

Gary, yes I am running an I/C under the duck. Well, for racing purposes....the duck does not provide enough down force in my opinion. Since I have not driven competitively since the mid 90's, I am happy with the look. Since the mods...I;ve had the car up to 140 or so. The extra 300lbs and downforce of a factory tail made the car feel stable in the straights. But, I am very happy with the compremise. In fact, I plan to later install a short ratio diff and drop the top speed from 170 down to about 125 or so.

Curtis, Thanks for the props. I like the tuff look over elegant also.

Brian, BTW guys, I just got my issue in hand. In fact I bought a couple. I am really impressed with the article and photos. Hell, my car is a centerfold. Must have been her valuptuous curves.

450knotoffice, Thank you also for the Congrats. Hope you enjoy the issue as I did.

Paul
