I know I should know this but....

on my 1988 Carrera, there is a light above the glovebox door, but not in the glove box itself, and it is stuck on, anyone know how to turn this off, or what switch is used to control it?

thanks

Jim

The light itself is a rocker switch. Try pressing on one end.

According to the manual, it's the glove box light. My '89 has a plunger-type switch located in the upper right corner of the glove box opening. You might want to check that. My light doesn't work (I didn't even know it existed until reading this thread and going to check) so I'll maybe yank the cover and see if it needs a new bulb. Good luck!

Paul.

There should be a three position switch on the right side of the light. Always on, On when doors open, Always off. Thats how it is on mine.

+1

Mine's an '88, and the light rocks front-to-rear as you sit facing it in the passenger seat. There is also a pop-out button on the right edge of the frame of the glove box that the door closes on.
