A question about 911 and 930 original fog light mounting locations ...

Were both the USA and ROW fog lights integrated with the front panel, or did certain years / models come with the lights mounted out front of the panel ?

Certainly the SC's up to 1983 had them mounted forward of the panel. The Carrera's starting in 1984 ( 84-89) had them semi-recessed into the panel. I *believe* the appropriate year Turbos followed along.

Great! Thanks. My 82 has them standing alone forward of the panel. I guess it is correct and not a mod then.

A buddy of mine has an '84 930 and his fogs are out-bound of the valence - could be a weird factory cutover thing. My '87 has them recessed. I'm wondering if on 930s it's the '86 model run (beginning of the meant for USA cars)
