Question Speedo Millage counter stop working

I notice today that my millage hasn't change in about 2 weeks..Last i noted it was 125,348 and now it stop at 125,355 and hasn't changed. I took notice to this because i realized that my trip counter hasn't change after a reset. Has anyone had this problem? New Speedometer's are EXPENSIVE! I have the us version, with the max speed at 85.

Thanks!

As long as it's connected it should work, but they have gears and gears break. NorthHollywood speedo is a good one for replacement gears.

odometergears.com

I repaired it myself with the gear from them, as have many others here.

Same here... I ordered odometergears.com They'll probably have what you need. Pull the speedo and open it up for a look. Mine looked exactly like the picture shown on odometergears.com's website. The flaw... so I'm told... was that the gears were greased from the factory with a new grease type that they learned actually breaks the nylon gear down over time... turns it to mush. Mine came out in many, many pieces.

Yes, while the plastic odo gear is not all that hard of a repair, I think I'd cruise the classified ads here & on ebay and just buy a used speedometer and ditch the 85 mph version.

nhspeedo.com will fix it for you, and if you want, they can turn your speedo into a 150mph version, if you like. Or 180, or 250, or . . . . . .
