993RS wheels
I heard that 993 RS wheels are very rare and can cost over 3000 euros for a set of refurbished rims so you lose the "Speedline for Porsche" decal.
Are there any companies that sell replicas of the ones like the 993RS brand new? Does Speedline still sell them? |

True RS Speedlines 8x18ET52 & 10x18ET65 are indeed very rare and expensive, Porsche parts had a very limited # as recently as this past winter.
There were also RS Speedlines, not oems, w/ slightly different o/s something like ET 50 & ET 56 which also fit, but not quite as well. There are several sort of look alikes but not the same thing.

I dont mind if its from Speedline... But for example, the turbo twist replicas are all over the market. However, I cannot find even one that looks like 993RS

I have no idea about the fit or quality of this wheel but I noticed these the other day when looking at this web site.

They will fit fine at normal to RS height, but if you take the car down to Cup height they will tag a lip.

Kinesis used to make a 993RS replica wheel called the "Supercup" which was a true 3-piece and available in 18" sizes. It looked very similar to the original, and I believe even had forged centers. AFIAK they have been out of production for quite a while, but you may get lucky and find a set on the used market if you keep your eyes open.

Does Speedline still manufacture the wheels even though it does not say "SPEEDLINE for Porsche" on them?
Does anybody know the website of Speedline or where I could contact them? |

Again not exact replicas and o/s are off, not an issue w/ normal ride height cars but if you go real low they will be an issue.

I am pretty sure that the Kinesis version is cast, not forged. At least that is what my rep there told me a few years back when I had my Kinesis account.....
Not that it matters, as I think they are a great looking wheels. Cheers

You can still get Porsche OEM RS wheels, they have to be shipped from Germany and are available in about 4 weeks. I checked on this a few weeks ago and found Sunset Porsche to be the least expensive at about $4200 a set. I ended up buying a set of 3.6 Turbo Speedline wheels from them. The RH replicas, of the 3.6, were around $3,600 and the OEM that say "Speedline for Porsche" were only a few dollars more, at $4,200. In my opinion, buying the factory wheels would be worth the extra money; they would have tremendous re-sale, the quality would be better and they would hold up to the day to day elements better.

Here is a set of the odd o/s ones
They have an aggressive o/s, and should fit fine unless the car is very very low No affiliation w/ seller or product
