making a swb into a lwb car, whats involved?

I have a 68, 912 roling shell that I would like to make into a 69-73 look 911 engined car. Can anyone outline the steps and give helpful hints and details about this conversion? I do know that I need to add 911 engine mounts. Are these available or do I need to get them from a wrecked 911? Any hints or pitfalls to watch out for here. Obviously I need lwb rear fenders or at least the main "flared" part aroud the back wheel. What about the torsion tube hole that is in a different place right? Can I simply bolt up lwb rear trailing arms or is there more to it than that? Anyone have a website or pictures of a conversion like this that they would car to share? Thank you, David Hanning

Just from my observations, you will need new swing arms and new torsion arms. My understanding is LWB swing arms will not bolt on onto the torsion tube without modifying the mounts. Also, you'll most likely have to replace the rear quarter panels or at least move the wheel well opening rearward as the increased length is from the torsion bar opening to the wheel well.

Dave I can't answer that but just wondering if you have any SWB 911 early badges in stock? Any glove box door ones?
