Engine stand hole spacing?
I ordered this engine stand today and I would like to find out the mounting hole spacing so I can build a roll around base and have it ready when it arrives. Could someone take some measurements of theirs and pass them along? It would be a big help.

Less brakes, more gas!

Just curious, are you mounting it to a bench as well? If so, how will you ensure it does not fall over/pull out of what ever you mount it to etc etc etc??
Thanks, Michael

I plan to build a normal engine stand with four wheels and at the top there will be a plate with holes drilled for attaching this unit. The unit will be made from steel and welded together like this:

HI Bob do not skimp on the thickness of the mounting, like this;
![]() the size is ;8.5/8"x 11.3/4"x 3/8 thick, the hole spacing is 170mm across x 140mm lengh ![]() the reason for the bit at the back is some where to put tools/parts/magnetic bit's tray ![]() if you make a stand like this you can then bolt to the floor, or make a mobile stand to fit the base out of 3 sections of box. regards mike
