Not another RS Clone project...update
The car is really starting to take shape, can see the light at the end of the tunnel. Should be ready to fire up in another week or so. Have a pro put the headliner in for me and pull the glass into it, and then I should be able to finish the rest. Car is built on a '71 tub, 2.7L RS spec motor (except with Webers not MFI), M&K R-muffler, has '86 model aluminum running gear and brakes f/r with 23/31 tbs, polybronze f/r, 22mm elephant sways f/r.
Hope you like it. I am getting excited to drive it soon. Here's the recent pics. Previous pics of how it started out are here. 1971 911 Project w/pics Here it is today... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Sweet! I prefer the stock or Euro taillights over the R lights, but that's just personal preference. Your car is stunning.

Looking great! The RS bodywork looks so much cleaner than the starting point.
Keep the updates coming.

Personally,
I like the sanitary look. No script or decals, looks fantastic. Clean as a new paint job can be. Well done. Mike |

I have to agree with the earlier comment about the R lights. It's been overdone now. They're fine on a short wheelbase car but now they're showing up on way too many cars. They're passable on a lwb long hood car but now people are putting them on short hood cars. That's the first sign that it's over.

I second the clean look too, so nice to see a pure, clean quick car. Less is more! What a beauty.
