For the front the calipers are identical but the Carrera calipers have a 4mm spacer between the two halves allowing a 24mm thick rotor vs. the 20mm for the SC, the rotor diameter is the same for both at 282.5. The caliper pistons are the same 2x48. In the rear the Carrera again uses a 24mm rotor vs. 20 for the SC but it's a little larger in diameter ( 290 vs. 282.5 ) and the pistons are 2x42 vs. 2x38 for the SC. Brake pad area is the same front and back. I stayed in a Holiday Inn Express last night Hope this helps

Don't forget the Carrera also used the brake proportioning valve from the 928. This limited brake pressure on the rear calipers to prevent lockup in a panic stop situation.

The brake servo bore was increased from 7 to 8 inches (same as turbo).

And an engine driven vacuum pump was added to the brake servo.

"A" calipers have a ~7mm spacer between the halfs
"Wide A" calipers from a '84-89 Carera have ~11mm spacers

The p/v has a 928 part#, 33bar

there is no engine driven vacuum pump, brake servo vac. comes from the intake manifold
