How to "R" a 74-89 fender !
We take our long fiberglass inserts (with ducts) and have them bonded to the front of the late fenders. The take some steel and fab up the "filler" section for install on a long hood.
Mar glass was used to marry the steel and fiberglass together Next, drill for the small clear replica lamp, prep/ fit/ paint and install So now all those "cheap" late fenders will gain in value ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

The complete front inserts come with hella reproduction lenses, two bulbs with sockets per side (allows turn signal and running lamp) $350
the small white lamps that stand off the fender on the R is available too. Cost is $135 pair for those inc bulb holders and bulbs You will still need to make a small fill piece between the end of the insert and the fender opening pic to follow

here is a pic of the real deal along with two views of our inserts. BTW- these inserts fit 69-73 911 with very little mods.
Thanks! ![]() ![]()

Great idea!
![]() A side note: I'm sure I'm not the only one who looks at this and thinks 'Hey, that headlight bucket needs to go -- look at all those extra ounces.' There's got to be a lighter way to protect the back of the light assemblies.

that would not be a problem on lightening up the headlamp bucket: Slice off the back 7/8 of it. That way the rigid frame still keeps your lamps in place. The graft on the back section of a fiberglass bucket- best of both worlds: No expensive h-1's surfing across the intersection after a hard stop and less weight from up high on the chassis

LOL....at that point, I don't know which would be worse, the embarasment of running out and grabbing it, or the checkbook pain!

I'm sure some race fan has been using an H1 as a door stop in New York since around 1972 .... ![]() ![]()

Silly question...do you have to have the clear lamp? Can they be run with just the turn lamp? (...or will the turn lamp not be "on" when the lights are on?)
