What is easiest way to re-install the (metal)trim (in the center of the rubber mouldi
What is easiest way to re-install the (metal)trim (has AL metal in the center of the rubber moulding) on coupe rear glass.
I haven't taken it off fully and it seems to have a center metal lip that goes into the rubber and catched under it. It is fragile, and when lifting it it seems to be hard to keep it straight and not bending it up. Do I have to remove it fully make sure it is straight. Or is this a piece that once removed it has to be replaced with new. Doesnt seem that it is going to go in easy, and havent thought about how what to tap it back in without denting it. Thank you.

When i did mine the windows were out of the car. The rubber went on the glass 1st then the metal trim was eased into the rubber. and all roped in, you will end up bending it if you try to force it in. Good luck Paul

The glass has to come out. Then the trim has to get straightened back to its original shape. Then it goes in the gasket. Then you reinstall the glass.
You'll make yourself crazy trying to get it in when the glass is in the car.
