My first driver Training
Okay, so this is a bit abnormal.
I had my first driver training day through five session at Laguna Seca yesterday sponsored by Cherry's with all fees donated to the Salinas Health Care System. It was completely awesome and I had a great instructor named Litko Chan. He was great and got me to a level that I didn't expect to be at by the last session. The experience would not have happened with the help I've received from you guys one the multitude of projects that I've completed in the past two years and the alignment and new tires that I had done at Performance Art in Gilroy. Here are a few pics. End of the tech line: ![]() BTW I was the first through the tech, second inspected, first to pass! Here's something you don't see everyday. And its for sale! ![]() Here's something done Jack-style: ![]() Here are some of me actually driving. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Thanks again. Without your guys' help this would not have happened for me. -Matt

Congrats Matt, the car looks good on the track. Now that you've got the track bug, prepare to start saving serious cash for mods to get another tenth in each sector. Just kidding on that one, the nice thing about these cars is that they are capable on the track with a few mods and safety equipment.
Enjoy!

How was the experience and do you feel like you were driving at 10/10ths? It must have been a blast, especially a historic track like that! Congrats.Next season I think I'll do my first track day at Portland International Raceway.

It was awesome. I drove between 7 and 11 out of 10. Two of the 11s were my fault and the third was not trusting my own judgement. I had three spins: One on 3 during my second session and 2 on six (once during last lap of second session and last lap on fifth session). My instructor told me my last session I was doing perfect laps and so we pushed it a little too much on the last lap. I brakes a ten of a second later going into 6 and over compensated to make the turn and spun off to the left.
You can tell from the pictures which ones were taken before I spun on 3. I got coverd in dirt from that spin. I learned a lot from each spin though and I'm looking forward to my next track experience. Leguna Seca was awesome and the SCRAMP guys running it were outstanding. I probably would have been red flagged after my second spin anywhere else. -Matt
