GT3 seats in SC?
I have scoured the previous posts, but no one has a definitive answer. Will the GT3 "alien" seats fit in an SC or are Recaro Pole Positions the next best thing? I have sat in the GT3 and they fit very nicely. I understand also that the PP and the GT3 seat are the same except for the shoulder portion. I would love to order the GT3 seats, but I don't want to get burned.
Please Help or direct me to a thread I missed. Thank you, Mark I guess if they don't fit, I could put them in my 996 and be the guinea pig for the forum. |

I have mounted GT3 seats in a '72 tub. I believe the early tub and the SC floor are the same. I had to mount the seats to the floor, used the GT3 mounts and sliders. The floor on the 996 was wider. I had to remove the seat mounts from the '72 tub. Photo is of the seat mounts removed.

Thank you for the pic, but can you tell me what the "right" bracket and sliders are so I can get this project going. Do you know of a source for the brackets and sliders that I need? Thanks, Mark |

right Scott,
+ you can get the brackets and sliders also from Summit racing. Even almost any recaro bracket would fit. ![]() ![]() |
