Iv been thinking of getting a set of Cup 2 alloys for my 84 carrera just wondering if a set of 17" alloys will fit striaght on or will i need spacers ?

You will need spacers with the OEM wheels. Some aftermarket copies are made with the pre-1990 backspacing.

Most likely one inch up front and 2 inch in the rear...or the metric equivalent.

I used some factory wheels with 1.5 in front, and 2 in rear.

I have 1" front and 2" rear adapters with aftermarket Cup2's (7.5 and 9").
However - be careful - I have a standard SC suspension with Turbo guards. My backspacing measured off the wheels is 5.25" on front and 5.63" on rear - the wheels are stamped ET of 23 and 15. Tim
