Problems fitting 993 cup II on 83 sc. HELP

The fronts clears perfectly with a 1 inch spacer.... BUT the rear seem not to clear the nut on the arm well. The tyres are bridgestone s03 255/40 r17. The tyres seems to have a hairline touch on one of the nuts. I was told 2 inch is too wide and it would foul the arch. I am currently on 1,1/2 spacers for the rear should I get a 5 mm spacer on top of the 21 mm spacer to clear the nut?

I had two 21mm spacers on the rear on my SC (actually one spacer and one adapter, so I could put my Fuchs on, too).

I went with 2" spacers on the rear, and 1.5" on the front. No rubbing

Thanks.... I tried a 5mm spacers with a 1.5 inch adaptor and yes it clears the nut.... I am worried it might rub on the nut given that the nut is 3mm away from the tyres.... the rims clear all perfectly.

I am wondering what offset and what rim were on your car with the spacer? 8J or 9j?
