I have had to replace the wires on every Porsche I have owned except one. People do not like to spring for wires.

I replaced mine over the weekend with the Clewett reds. Seems to run a bit better, certainly warms up better.

But the problem with this assessment is that I monkeyed around with the dizzy (gunter's ubiquitous cleaning job) and timing. I think that had more to do with it than the ignition wires.

What did you all use for hold-downs? And I'm assuming that the ground wires from the original steel braided cables are not necessary for the Clewetts, right?
