Mega Squirt?
What are the advantages of the MegaSquirt injection system? I have a 3.0sc with a functional CIS system that I have started usung for AX and DE. What benefit would I see by upgrading to this system? Thanks!

None if your CIS system is functional as you say. My opinion is MS is for;
1. Tinkerers who enjoy a challenge (thats me) 2. Builders of unique engines 3. Replacers of troublesome CIS, Carb or MFI who have "spit the dummy" 4. EFI installers investigating alternatives to commercial units There isnt any compelling reason for your situation in my opinion.

I have read a lot about the Megasquirt conversions, and overall I agree with JohnJL's assessment. If you do it on the cheap (relatively speaking) and keep parts of the CIS intake, you may get a slightly smoother idle and slightly improved drivability.
OTOH if you spend a bunch more money and upgrade to individual throttle bodies, you should see significantly better throttle response (the engine will feel faster because it revs up more quickly). This also opens up the possibility of switching to hotter cams down the line, and that's when you see the real power gains. The CIS system in my car works *almost* correctly but still has some rough spots during warm up. It appears that my WUR is changing the control pressure in a big jump rather than a smooth gradual change. Since this part is NLA from Porsche (for my year) some sort of change (carbs or EFI) is in my long term plan. Good luck Scott

JohnJl is dead on IMHO. I did it because parts were becoming scarce, and I wanted a system that I could diagnose with a laptop. Now the benefits are that when I rebuilt my engine with higher compression, and hotter cams I could just dial it in from the front seat.
In your situation, why remove something that's working for you? CIS is fine when it's functional.

I went that route because my CIS was going to get real expensive with a bad fuel head. So decided to dump that and do tbitz MS kit. now my car is turbo charged after the fact so it has worked well for me
