Mtfr #7 - 10/13/07 (date Change!!!)
THE DATE HAS BEEN MOVED UP ONE WEEK!!!
Well, we have a date: 10/13/07 We have a location: we will meet in Dickson, TN, at the O'Charley's parking lot just south of I-40, off exit 172 (I-40). This is about 25 minutes west of Nashville, right on I-40. The route will go from Dickson to Leipers Fork on Hwy 46, and then back around to the SW and up to Dickson again on Hwy 48. Looks like some nice roads in the area. I have been on part of the trip recently and it was a really nice drive. We will eat lunch somewhere in Dickson at the return. We will use the original date of 10/20 as a rain date, but forecast is looking good so far! As always, please email me if you plan to attend (vanweys@charter)... Yep, I'll be there. I went through part of that route coming back from a Nashville PCA club event. It is really pretty country. There were bicycles everywhere so you have to be a lot more careful in the curves and on hills but still well worth the drive. I'm pulling the engine and tranny this weekend to do some work on my clutch fork but should be back together by Sunday afternoon unless I have to order some parts or have some machine work done. I will also be looking forward to the Porsche Palooza in November. We need to get together and figure out the route we want to go and when to leave. I had thought about going up on Thursday but would go up Friday if we can get a caravan together. Would be a lot of fun tearing across Arkansas with a large group of P cars

Well plan away David! You have been to Palooza before, so come up with a route.
As far as the bicycles on our October run, yeah, you are right, but that should only be on the Natchez Trace leg of our trip... I want to meet up on the south side of I-40 off exit 172 in Dickson. That will be easier to get everyone going together as we leave (less interruptions in the traffic flow). I cannot remember which restaurant it is on that side, O'Charley's or Ruby Tuesday's - anyopne know?
