custom trailer hitch for 74-89 911
I am currently selling the trailer hitch for a 911. $350.00/BO
Specifically designed for my 911SC but will fit any early body 911 from 74-89. Perfect for pulling small trailer with track tires for DE events. No issues with trailer wander and I have used it for 3 seasons without any worries. Picture enclosed, more available via email with your interest. Mounts to tow eyes so no load on bumper or bumper struts. No where else will you find a hitch for these cars that does not load the bumper and the bumper shocks wihile towing. Fred ![]() ![]() |

Oh yeah...just a matter of time...
Just to add a little fuel to the fire: I was working on Steve's cabby the other day, pouring over the Bentley Manual for the 3.2 cars. Guess what I found? There is an indicator for TRAILER LIGHTS! I found it in the wiring diagram! ![]() Don't have the Bentley manual with me, it's at the shop, but it is THERE! I showed it to my husband and my brother-in-law. Guess I'm going to get clobbered now too for finding it in the Bentley manual - oh well won't be the first time I've gotten an internet drive by beating! ![]() angela

I want a pic of someone towing a 911 to the track with another 911. That'd be priceless.

Fred,
Did you make this yourself? It looks incredibly simple. I have been thinking of something very similar... I'd love to come by and look at it... er... but I'm in Florida ![]() Best regards, Michael

I have a similar hitch on my 85 carrera. It really works great. The mount is behind the license plate. With the license plate on, you can not see anything.
Take the plate off, and there is a hitch all ready to go. Towed a track tire trailer for several years without a problem. All in all a great setup. Mine was made locally- company no longer in business. A must have accessory for these cars! Gary |

Fred-
Looks like this is a for sale post incorrectly placed in the Tech forum, but I'll take it if it isn't spoken for. |

Interesting Fred. Had I not just dropped a load on an aluminum trailer and a tow vehicle (Truck) that I will drive 6 times a year, I would have considered it.
![]() BTW, I'm driving the Rig out to Mid-Ohio next Spring. See you then.
