Adjusting front suspension height... a question
Using the key search words "lower+front+turns", I just got a bunch of garbage for search results. I used to know how far the car would drop for each full turn on the adjuster screws, but I never wrote it down.
Anyone know off hand? |
Milt, ircc, the answer is about 1/4" of height per each turn of the adjuster bolts.

Thanks. I just did 1-1/2 turns to start. Seems like I'll be doing a little more. I'll move the car back and forth and see.
Result: I did 3 full turns and got 1/2 inch. I bumped it pretty good driving it back into the parking spot. so, it might be settled in. However, I wouldn't be surprised if ti settles a bit more on a real drive. (BTW, don't be angry with me because I ragged on the Cayman ;) I know how good the car is.) |
I usually get anywhere from 1/8" to 1/4" per turn. It may depend on the initial angle of the A arm.

1/4" is about it. But you have to drive it around the block to settle. Jumping on a corner or just up & down the drive isn't enough. It needs a short drive.

No worries, Milt. I'm having fun with that thread. ;)
