Just curious who will be at PLM tomorrow or Saturday? I'll be there tomorrow and Saturday. I won't be in my Carrera tomorrow, but will be in it and parking in the PorschePlatz on Saturday.

So who else will be there?

I'll be there Saturday. I'll be taking the 996 and will be parking in the Porscheplatz also. Check the seal grey 996's for South Carolina plates, mine has a Pelican sitting in the palm tree. If you want to meet up somewhere it would be good to say hello.

Sounds good. I'll be in the Carrera on Saturday - GPW w/ GPW wheels and SC plate. It also has a Pelican cut out on the drivers side rear window and Pelican Parts on the bottom of the rear window.

There was one other GPW w/ GPW in the Platz last year with mine and it had TN plates.

I took my '87 Carrera last year and parked next to a black '86 (?) that I regularly see on the way to and from work.

Anyone else? I would think there would be alot more PLM junkies on Pelican than this... I didn't make it the first three years, but haven't missed since 2001.

I only ever make it out to the race at Mosport, as it is close to home, but I am planning to change that for next year. I would love to get to Sebring or Daytona, being two of the most iconic of US sportscar races. Anyone have any recommendations - if I was going to only one sportscar race in the US, which should I attend?

Great race! I just got home and am beat. The sun really drained me, as it usually does.

Mark, it was great meeting you and your family. Sorry we didn't run into each other again. I was surprised by the lack of older Porsches at the 'platz' this year, and in general, how about you?

I'll be sure and post some pics in the next day or so. I need and want to spend some time with my girls tomorrow, so I probably won't post them until Monday evening.

Komenda Fan, I'm much like you. I've only attended races at Road Atlanta (and a Audi Club event at Watkins Glen last year), but my guess would be to go to Daytona. I certainly plan to 'do' Daytona one year!

Dave - same here, it was a pleasure to meet you. I have to download the photo's too. It was a great day out and it looks as though we got back about the same time as you. We ended up parked up in Porscheplatz later in the afternoon, the otherside of that blue '72 next to you. There weren't many older cars at all but still a very nice collection of cars and people. We kept looking out for you again but it was a very busy day. The race to the finish with the Porsche and Audi was a fantastic way to wrap up the day.

I agree - the finish made it well worth staying. I was sitting at 10a/10b when the Audi made the pass for position. Very daring move, but was still very cool. I was afraid he was going to take out himself, the RS Spyder and the Flying Lizard Porsche.

The sun was pretty brutal, considering how overcast the morning was. The evening could not have been any nicer though.
