Rear Torsion Bar Spline Size? Turbo VS Regular

Well, I guess I didn't do my homework. I bought an 89 Turbo suspension thinking I could use the rear torsion bars in a 73. But the turbo bar spline size is way too big. What year did the size change or is this a turbo thing?
Thanks,
Rick

The '89 was the first Turbo with G50 transaxle, although the Carreras used G50s from '87 on. The T-bars have a different spline count for G50s, and will not work in the earlier 915-equipped car.
