3.2 into a swb ? Advice Needed.......

I know this conversion has been done before but would appreciate any input on planning the conversion and what to look out for doing the conversion. Using a 915 tranny + 3.2 engine

Thanks

I have a 3.2 and 915 in a 66 912 and it was as straightforward as swaps go, I am assuming you are using a 911 to start, so you don't have to worry about the Oil tank and all the rear support worries, also the use of carbs verses fuel injection is going to determine your difficulty in your endeavor. I should also ask when you got the trans did you get the shift rod shifter ect... anyway good luck, when you finish I think you will be more than pleased

There are quite a few threads on this. They will probably answer all your questions. Do a search and you will find the wiring harness pin swich as well as how to notch the 915 tranny for the 3.2 flywheel sensors. I did the conversion and the car flys. good luck! its a fun project.
