Crank Pully replacement
Has anyone every replaced their crank pully with A/C while the engine is still in? For some unknown resaon my pully is out of round and needs to be replaced. The local Porsche dealer here in Regensburg , Germany informs me that they need to drop the engine and exhaust in order to change out the pully? They estimate a 6 to 7 hour job 1000 euros

You can easily replace the pulley with the engine in the car. The major components to remove are the muffler and heating system pipe, rearward section of engine sheetmetal surround and finally the engine support console with crossbar. The engine will have to be supported from underneath with an underhoist stand like this

Thanks for your quick responce. Is 6 to 7 hours about right? It sounds a little long? I guess when they said drop the engine, they meant drop the back of it a little bit?
