Need control pressure chart -- '76 911S

My 1976 911S runs badly at start-up. I would like to adjust the warm-up regulator but have been unable to locate a control pressure chart. My generic Bosch Fuel Injection book says that cold pressure should be around 1.5 bar but other posts in this forum indicate about 2.4 bar. Any help would be apprecicated.

My 76S starts out at 1.5, but, only stays there for a few minutes as it gradually makes its way up to about 3 bar (hot). My car starts well, runs great, and just passed smog with flying colors. Hope this helps Michel

Thanks Michael. I tested mine today and it is very close to the pressures you mentioned; about 1.6 and 3.0 bar. I guess I will have to look elsewhere or live with the rough warm up. Or maybe I can justify buying a CO meter to test the mixture. Thanks again. Tim

Does your AAR raise the revs during warmup?

1976 and 1977 control pressure "cold" graph: 1976 control pressure "warm": Testing at atmospheric pressure (no vacuum): 2.7 to 3.1 bar With vacuum: 2.7 to 3.1 bar Apply 520 to 546 mbar (390 to 410 mm Hg) to control pressure regulator (WUR) to perform this test. At high idle speed (1800 RPM): 3.4 to 3.8 bar Below specifications apply to 1976 and 1977. System pressure: Acceptable range when testing: 4.5 to 5.2 bar When adjusting set within this range: 4.7 to 4.9 bar Leak test (engine warm) Min. pressure after 10 min: 1.3 bar after 20 min: 1.1 bar Fuel injectors opening pressure: 2.5 to 3.6 bar.

Paul, Now that you mention it, it does not seem that my cold idle is any faster than when the car is warmed up. I will do some testing on the AAR. Jim, Thanks for the chart. I looked closely at my WUR and noted that it has Bosch# 0 438 140 009which I think is the number for a 1974/5 regulator. It turns out that the car is titled as a 1976but was manufactured in August of 1975. Do you know if the chart is about the same for the 1976 WRU? Tim

No, it is different. Here is the chart for 1977-1975 with your WUR no.: 1974-75 control pressure "warm": Vacuum contolled version: Testing at atmospheric pressure (no vacuum): 2.7 to 3.1 bar With vacuum: 3.4 to 3.8 bar Apply 520 to 546 mbar (390 to 410 mm Hg) to control pressure regulator (WUR) to perform this test. Below specifications apply to 1974 and 1975.
