Replace gauge lights then odd problem?

I was inspired by the led gauge lights and made this change. There were some gauges with no lights installed! One with no light was the temp/pressure gauge. It would have 3 lights in the middle...if I'm right its battery at top, oel in middle, and alternator at bottom. The one without a light was the top battery red light. Usually my alternator light had stayed on for a few minutes then goes off. After new bulbs, alternator light is not on at all and the battery light blinks constantly. Any ideas?

You don't want to replace the warning bulbs with LED's. Just replace the gauge lighting.

Hate to say it but that never crossed my mind as I was doing it. Will check it out tonight. There were some bulb holders that appear to be a type of plastic that the led's wouldn't fit in to and I left those as standard.

Thank you!

On your '74...the bulbs are (from the top) alternator (red), low oil pressure warning (green) and parking brakes (green). The alternator bulb serves as a load to the regulator and should not be replaced with an LED..

I checked the lights in the back on the temp/pressure gauge. The lights in question are the push in type signal lights (not push in and turn) which I replaced / added with the correct non-led bulb.

My gauge looks like the one Pelican offers but the top light has a -B- under it.

I assumed the top light means battery...maybe voltage is ok? but now believe it is the parking brake light?
Middle light, understand, oil pressure.
Bottom light, I assumed this one is the alternator?

So I'll check parking brake electrical and check that alternator light bulb is ok.

Thanks.
