Fuchs with no part numbers?

I was wondering if anyone had ever seen any 6X15 Fuchs wheels with date stamps the 6JX15 and the Porsche triangle marking, but no other part numbers. I've seen a a wheel that had only these markings and, if I remember correctly, a 9, but no other numbers following. Comparing it to other wheels with all the normal part numbers, etc, I could see no other differences. How can you determine whether a forged Fuchs wheel is original or a knock-off? Were there ever any phony forged Fuchs wheels back in the day? Thanks for the info.

Fuchs aren't made by Porsche....they have a serial number and a Fox logo. Fuchs is fox in German. No serial number they are likely knock offs. Look a little harder.

Sorry, I meant the Fuchs marking, not Porsche marking. I thought it was in a triangle, though. What I'm asking is, has anyone ever seen original forged Fuchs wheels that had some, but not all of the normal markings? Also, how can one know for sure whether a wheel is a non-original, non-Fuchs wheel if a physical inspection and comparison to another original wheel with all of the normal markings yields no differences? Did anyone ever produce forged knockoff Fuchs back in the 1960s or 1970s? Thanks!

Ink stamps

I've done some research and have found that some fuchs had ink stamps instead of the metal stamping or embossing for the part numbers. So it's easy to believe that over the 40 year lifespan of a wheel, ink stamps can be obliterated. I don't remember the wheel being any heavier, so I'm going to say it was an original... Thanks for the info! Here are the links to the info I found.

Are these 7R fuchs?
