"Turbo" script for your longhood.

nameisbauer 10-25-2007 04:55 PM

Any stickers that say something your car isn't.

Astroboy 10-25-2007 05:52 PM

So that "Caprice Classic" script that I bought is bad?

yelcab1 10-25-2007 06:27 PM

My name is ML and I have painted calipers. Except that I inherited from the PO. Does that make me a dork?

I also rebuilt my bilteins and painted them green. Do I have a problem?

I painted my fan orange to match the plastic engine shroud. I really feel bad now. Help !!!

not if you or your car are:

Caprice:
1 a: a sudden, impulsive, and seemingly unmotivated notion or action b: a sudden usually unpredictable condition, change, or series of changes <the caprices of the weather>2: a disposition to do things impulsively

Classic:
Well your car is a classic, so at least its Half right.

(Thats funny that Chevy decided to call a car "something done impulsively" Like we didnt know that already)

It's funny that the cars in Robocop were Caprices and were called SUX1000's

I thought they were Ford Taurus'?

summers3d 10-25-2007 08:03 PM

You could be right, but I remember thinking that whatever they were they made Taurus' look like a work of art. I want to know who designed the Caprice and if they still have a job. I mean, that truly is crap in motion.

One man's fetish is another man's - ah - control input...

Now, THIS is why we read this site with such regularity!;) For some reason, I feel the need to stand up and say: "I'm Don and I have a 914 race car." Oh, right. I needed to spend $200.00. Forget it. . .

Turbo Den 10-25-2007 11:43 PM

Pay $200 to driver ed.

but car breaks down in 1st lap.

vesnyder 10-26-2007 03:08 AM

How about this sticker in the trunk (see P-car logo under hood)?

This one has to be my worst - and I have plenty of them. Put them on, stripped one of my lug bolts and sold them withing 48 hrs - then I went out and bought a set of 8's - much more than $200!http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1193397225.jpg

I wire-wheeled as much of the PO's red paint off the stock front calipers as I could. Unfortunately that's less than 70% of the total. So now I have spotty red calipers ... luckily the Fuchs wheels hide most of it. My struts are still 1/2 red, 1/2 black. I just don't know what inserts to get now... ;)

patkeefe 10-26-2007 04:12 AM

Knock off (unknown to me at the time) turbo tie rods. The rubbers are all shot on them.

<------- Hangs head in shame. (I didn't do it, the PO did. Of course stock T brakes will JUST LIKE Big Reds with some krylon ....)

Greek55 10-26-2007 05:32 AM

Invisible bra that I did myself. Bubbles never went away so I finally had to spend hours heating and pulling to get it off.
