I'm hoping that the unit is the same as the 944 one, we'll check the wiring diagrams when I get to work.
If that doesn't work, these guys repair the units: http://www.accinni.com/Inglese/Servizi/Servizi.htm -Wayne |
Well, I checked the electrical diagrams, and although they are very similar, the diagrams are slightly different. I will have to make a pinout chart and check things tonight. Some things like grounds are slightly different, and other things like pins powering a relay instead of a motor, etc. I think that at first glance they are identical (each diagram may be slightly different, but the end unit may be the same).

Wayne,
The 24 silver-plated pins on that double-gang connector are pretty dirty-looking to me, perhaps the result of salt/humidity and heavy tobacco smoke environment or exposure at some point??? Cleaning the 24 pins and matching sockets with 91% isopropyl alcohol and Q-tips or pipe cleaners could certainly improve communications with the sensors, perhaps. Even if it doesn't fix that controller ... it wouldn't hurt connections with other ones in the future. Sure seems amazing to me that someone would take that car to techs that treated it like somebody's discarded 924! |
Wayne, you can leave us hanging....
..and head off to Las Vegas - Cancel the SEMA show - We need you to stay on Project 959! Can't wait for the next installment - really great stuff!

Warren, that's a good suggestion, I just took a closer look at the pins, and they do seem a bit dirty.
I'm going to start a new thread on this... -Wayne |

I'll be at SEMA on Tuesday. Are you just attending the show or will Pelican have a display? Love the 959 project, I tune in every day for updates. Thanks for sharing the progress with everyone. Cheers, Randy |
