Well I took the '74 out for a run this afternoon. I bought a day insurance permit and took it for a spin; man that was a treat as I haven't drove it for quite some time now.
I've been driving the 993TT so much lately, I love it, especially the acceleration and power. But the '74 has a rawness about it that is very sweet and hard to beat. These two cars have so many differences, its like choosing between two perfect women; only they're perfect in different ways. The '74 is a bastard car though, I've dumped alot of cash into and will never see it out.... motor, brakes, wheels, tires, headlights, suspension and top just off the top of my head $$$. The previous owner converted the targa to an 88 Cab look, which I really like, but its still a bastard car with aches and pains. I'll be parking them both for the winter very soon and will decide what to do in the Spring, but I doubt that I'll keep both? Nice day for a drive today though, it was invigorating! You are one lucky guy! The color on the 993 is incredible.

While both are nice, I'd keep the 993. Take your time in selling whichever one because for what is manys hard sell, there is one guy that has a soft spot for exactly what you have. All you have to do is find him or let him find you. Keep the car on the circuit as long as possible.

That black one is a '74? Wow!
At least you have the best year, but I'm not exactly impartial here. . . ![]()

Thanks guys, I'm still relishing the day!
Don, that Silver '73 is beautiful; what a timeless beauty! look me up if you're in the area. rob@robmckibbon.com Thanks Milt! Your advise is very good and I'll plan to decide carefully. The real choice is whether I have two Pcars or not; the 993 stays for sure! Cheers, |

Ha Ha, how true!
We're actually a 5 car family; 3 are mine, 1 my wife and 1 my daughters. Our SUV's stay outside this year. I've got a 4 car garage & a boat carport at my cabin too; usually the Pcar is parked there for the winter; but I'm planning on doing some major detailing work this winter on the cars and wife said OK to leave them at home this year. I live in an area called Sherwood Forest in Salmon Arm, two blocks from my kids school; as they are very social. Pop me a line anytime; rob@robmckibbon.com. If your in Town just ask anyone where the Porsche guy Rob lives; ha ha - Kidding, it's not that small of a town. Cheers, |

![]() I just added the twin turbo to the line up a month ago and my wife traded her Mustang in for a black Buick Rendevous; that's what she wanted. Friends were shocked when I bought a car that wasn't black, ha ha. ![]() |

I'm headed out to the PNW and I hear it's beautiful out there. One of the first places I visit has to be B.C. for sure. I just wish I knew how to speak Canadian.

Hey Norm,
Plan to spend a few days in the interior of BC, I'm at the Shuswap Lake. We've got some great places to see and visit, very touristy part of our Country. I can help you out with a good route, tour stops, etc. and we can spend a day or two showing you around some of our local sites? Florida to PNW will be quite the change in scenery! What brings you this way? Cheers, |
