Idiots guide to throttle link adjust..

Decided to adjust my throttle linkage today and take up a little slack. As I was thinking of ways to hold the accelerator pedal down so that I could confirm I was getting full throttle it occured to me how to check that I had as much play as possible out of the linkage without over adjusting.
After I was satisfied that I had turned the link end enough times I re-installed it and took the car out for a quick drive. Once I was in third gear (1 thru 4 would work also) I let off the throttle and verified that the shift light went out, I then applied a slight amount of throttle and made sure the shift light came back on. I adjusted the linkage a couple more times until the shift light came on with the slightest touch of the pedal threfore confirming that the micro switch on the throttle body is being activated.
The car runs great with a noticable amount of power increase under WOT....and I didn't even have to bother the wife to help !!!.
