Fabspeed premuf vs. test pipe

Is there any appreciable differences between the Fabspeed euro muff vs. a std cat bypass pipe in respect to sound? I'd like a gen 4 M&k 1/1 with the bypass, but I'm not sure what the difference between the two are.

From what I have seen with my ears, it mostly depends on the muffler you are running. The test pipe is a little (very little) more raw.
I have heard of fitment issues with the Fab-speed (never had an issue just some secondhand info from others)
Just buy the Bursch unit, and put the extra into the muff.
I have the Bursch testpipe and muffler on my 82, and it is just right for me. A little lower, a bit louder (but sensible), and the whole thing cost less than the higher priced mufflers alone. I don't drive in rain or bad weather and she lives inside so I don't have a need for stainless pipes and units, it is a good deal for me.
Go to some events and keep your ears open for the sound you like and ask what it is. You will have a good time to boot.

Please don't take this post the wrong way, as it is written with some humor.

This topic has been covered many, many, many, many, many, many times on this board.

The search feature is your friend.

Oh, and welcome to Pelican. Just so you know, it is mandatory that newbies post pictures of their car when introducing themselves.

Thanks for the replies guys. Sounds like the Bursch for me.

I've been wearing out the search feature for about 5 months now trying to catch up and have been learning tons. I found that on the subject of exhausts there is so much info on this board that it gets a little confusing as there are as many opinions as posts. I also notice that for a newbie, everyone seems to know what they are talking about. It's a little like jumping in on an upper level class in mid semester, when I should be in the "special" class! Thought I'd better raise my hand before I get passed up.

Thanks. I'll get a picture out as soon as I can.
