Best looking 911 Porsche ever made (as shown on this board)?

I am talking here about cars as Porsche made them...modded cars are a topic for another thread!

My tastes run as follows:

I prefer longhoods to 74-89 impact bumper cars, and either to the later models. I also like the narrow fenders vs. the wider fenders in the later cars.

This next part is tough...I very slightly prefer targas to coupes, and I prefer both to cabs. I like the brushed aluminum rather than black targa bar. For targas, I prefer the glass rear window over the soft window on the very early cars

Fuchs are a must.

I like the clean tail-less look over the duck or whale tail

Color: I like unusual colors - yellow, orange, green. For longhoods, I think non-metallic colors look best.

After long painstaking hours of research on this board gazing at thousands of pics, particularly on the Ultimate Targa Thread, I have decided on a winner (it was so close...a stunning 911s in yellow, a heartbreaking dark blue 911T..).

And the winner is....

as found on this link: Ultimate Targa Thread!

I just love everything about this car: the perfect shape of the longhood, the brushed alum bar, the fuchs, the setting(!), but most of all the color! My word, the looks of longing and envy that driving this car must inspire! If I drove this car I'd have a grin that would swallow a whaletail.

Congratulations Skip Newsome! You own the best looking car Porche ever made!

Other opinions?

Beautiful! A fine choice.
This one has alot of what you are talking about, but it's a bit "futuristic" as well! I DO like the green...

Ha those are my two favorite colors- a slight nod to the green one, but it has the wider flares, which look great.

Talking about non-modified street cars only (there have been lots of cool looking factory race cars), THIS is the best looking 911 ever made, color, everything, that has been shown on this board:

I challenge anyone to top these "stock" cars:

Signal Orange S - Great photo of a great car!
Irish green, factory ducktail/decal delete RS (not the best pic but what a stunning car).

How about this one?

How about Helga? I think she's pretty, but I'm biased!

Not counting gratuitous pictures of my 930, this picture says it all for me:

This is one of the most classic pics of any 911 for me. It is a 911R. I don't know for sure if it is an original or a clone. It really makes no difference IMHO.

I have to say that JCR's Signal Orange S is the best looking 911 that I have ever seen. Stunning. The Green is my personal favorite but that is not a very good picture of it.

"as Porsche made them." Just a thought here..how many cars with pics posted can brag about orignal paint, other than the newbies?

The only thing that doesn't match your description is the duck tail.....however the factory included that.

Mine is original paint, but I have to confess a weakness for JCR's photo of that Signal Orange S!

I really love my car, but if I were to define the best looking...
I prefer the coupe to the Targa, I have to agree on the long hood and pre-impact bumpers, also there is something that I love about the clean lines without the rear wing - simple and beautiful.
That Orange S would be perfect without the driving lights.
