Temporary auto Insurance

My 911 is in hybernation. I would like to take it out, perhaps two,or three times in warm snaps during the winter. I am currently holding a comprehensive fire, theft policy with State Farm. They don't want to issue me a one or two day policy. Could anyone direct me to a firm that would issue a one or two day policy? Do they exist? Thanks, -O.K.

I think if you get a policy and then cancel it, they're supposed to pro-rate you the difference. This would be a PITA since you'd have to set up a new policy and then cancel it and then (possibly) wait for a refund and/or fight with them about it, but someone else might know better/more.

Since you have a 79 why not just get classic car insurance?

Porsche-O-Phile, are you saying I could not piggy-back one policy over another, lesser (fire and theft) policy for temporary coverage? Hmmmm...

AvonGil, could you point me in the direction of a classic car insurer or two?

Don't know. I'm interested to know the answer to this too as I pull one car or the other off the road for a few months at a time for freshening up.

Or maybe you can just get a fleet policy (?)
