Car cover for Colorado snow?

Any recommendations for outdoor waterproof cover? Too many choices... Looks like I'm going to be parking outside this winter until I can afford to move next summer.
p.s. still waiting for the snow gods to dump some fresh in the high country

For years I used several inexpensive 'clamp-on' type ski racks under a car cover. You can have two or three on the hood, one on the windshield, two on the roof and rear windoe and one on the deck lid. This keeps the cover off the car. That air space is critical with snow that stays overnight and more.

If you clean off the snow and dry the car and cover daily, this isn't necessary.

There are many good 'all-weather' covers available. Clearly they have to 'breathe'. I tend toward the heavest (most dense).

Critical is tying it down. A cover flapping in the wind will damage the paint.

Best,
Grady

What about one of those portable garages? Around $500 on ebay. Anyone use those to protect a car in the snow zones?

I understand there is a "silver" model for outdoor storage too. This is the clear for indoors.

if you want to pay for shipping, I have a half-height tent (open sides) that I got for free off of Craig's List. Sold my 73 project car so no longer need it.
