1st time removing an engine, any advice..

This will be the first time I remove an engine from a car (79SC). I've already gone over Wayne's book as well as the tech article on Pelican. Just wondering if anyone can offer any suggestions on what I should look out for, and what I should replace while the engine is out. Planning on putting the EGR on, valve adjustment, and check for leaks.
Thanks

I found it easier to remove the rear bumper, you won't have to jack up the back end as high. Only takes 15 minutes, worth the time.

oil temp sender gasket.
oil cooler gasket

brass fittings for your pedal linkage
check and replace clutch/ fork/ etc. replace fluid as well.

a few more I can't think of right now.
