82 SC with 3.6 Running Trouble
While driving home, the 3.6 started stumble, got it off the highway and pumped in a few gallons. The car stumbled, but was able to get onto a trailer and brought it home.
History on the car, 3.6 SC with a 90 964 motor. Was running great. Things tested, 1. Fuel pressure, jumpered out fuel pump, good pressure 2. Swapped DME relay, no improvement 3. Swapped round fuel pump relay, same 4. Checked fuses in trunk, all is OK 5. DME relay check (plugged in with cover off a. One relay closes on "inginition on signal" Relay on pins 86, 87 b. Voltage on Pin 30 is good c. The other relay cycles open and closes during start Basically, when starting, it tries to start, but no luck... Have tried starting it w/the fuel pump hot wired, no luck. Seems like the relay cycling is not receiving the correct signal from the DME Unit to keep the relay closed on Pin 85B on the DME relay. Help...
