993 PSS9 vs H & R coilovers ??

I wanted to get opinions on which system is best for my 1997 C2. I'm not a track type person. I mostly drive the car through canyons and would like to lower my car.

I was also told the standard HD Bilstien shocks with Eibach Pro spring kit was also highly recommended.

Secondly, any good installers anyone would recommend in the Los Angeles area?

Regards, Bill

Hi Bill - we have a 993 specific forum that might elicit a few answers as well.

Standard HD Bilstein and lowering springs are a reasonable choice for lowering the car and firming up the suspension. Try TRE in West Hollywood for the install.

Standard Bilstein with Euro spec springs is the way to go for street driving. H&R, Eibach and Porsche Euro MO30 springs should all work fine.

I have PSS9s. They are fine, but unnecessary for the street.

Oh, go see Dave at TRE for the installation.

Let's see pics of the car!

The Los Angeles experts on 993s is Tony Callas at Callas Rennsport - I wouldn't bother taking it anywhere else.

Tony has a wealth of experience on setting these cars up, and can guide you through what you really need to meet your needs. You may not end up needing such an expensive setup - ask him.

He's also hosting a PCA-endorsed 993 Tech Session at his shop on December 1st. As I said, Tony lives and breathes 993s...

You might also consider checking with Steve Alarcon (Johnson's Alignment) a few bays down from Tony Callas.
