Corbeau A4 or CR1 - advice please?

I've searched for a set of factory sport seats, but every set I saw needs recovering which would make the cost go over $1500 or $1600.

So I've read most of the threads regarding replacement seats and I've narrowed my search for now to the Corbeau seats, seem to offer a good blend of quality/price.

In all the threads I read I only saw one or two mentions of the A4 and CR1 style Corbeau seats. http://www.corbeau.com/prod_index/prod_index.shtml#recline

Has anyone bought and installed these recently? Are you happy (with the seats..)? Do you have any pictures? I'm leaning towards leather because the cloth looks a bit washy gray, rather than deep black..

Any feedback would be apprecited.

I had a set of CR1s in my '69 911T for the last few years. I recently took them out and installed them in my 71 Alfa GTV. I am probably going to put a set of Recaro SRDs or Pole Positions in the 911 when its back on the road. My biggest complaint was that there is a lack of thigh support, so they don't hold you in as well as some other seats I've experienced. However, they are comfortable (I'm pretty skinny, though) easy to get in and out of and they look pretty nice.

There is a WIDE range of sizes and shapes. In other words, if you sit in fifteen different seats, fourteen will be intolerable, one will be barely acceptable and one will feel like it just may be relatively comfortable.

Good thread. I am interested in some of these seats too. Seel nice for the price.

Any good dealers that have discounts? Can they be done custom, say for sub belt?

I am looking for 90% street comfort. Something like stock sport seats but a little more support for DEs.

I have a set of Corbeau CR-1 in my car and I really like them, I'm doing a lot of work to the car right now so I'm considering putting in a set of GT-3 seats once I'm done with all the mechanical stuff. If anyone is interested in a set of black CR-1's let me know, they're in mint condition and the car has been barely driven since I put them in.

Cloth or leather?

I was going with replica GT3s. I bought a carbon fiber set but they are too tight in the lats for me.

It felt about the same but without sliding around and better support.
