Rear Parcel Shelf Question
Hey all,
This may be a stupid question, but I'm going to do it anyway. I need to replace my rear parcel shelf on my '82 SC Targa. I have leather interior, and I'm pretty sure the shelf is leather as well. However, in searching for a used one, (I don't want to pay $350 for a new one), I've only seen vinyl ones, even when the rest of the interior is leather. Is my shelf actually vinyl, or is the leather just hard to find? Thanks. Alan |

The shelf could be covered in either vinyl or leather. Leather is not hard to find, if that's what you have. Autos International, Autobahn Interiors, GAAH all should be able to help you. Pelican may be able to get some of these products. Give them a call.

Alan--
You can also take it to a reputable auto upholstery shop and have them recover it in leather as well, or do it yourself. If I remember correctly, the factory used contact cement and staples to attach the leather or vinyl to the rear deck.
