Install CD53 R50
This may appear to be a sacrilege, but....
I am trying to install an original 05' MINI HD head unit (Alpine CD53 R50) into my 86' Porsche Carrera. When I turn it on it shows DISABLED. I have been told that it is because it does not have the required Bus signal. Any ideas as to workaround? Could I get the required signal (CAN Bus) from the DME unit, and if so where? Would any of the newer HD Porsche units work? Thank you, Roy |
