81sc muffler on 89 3.2 carrerra fit???

Hi Pelican community. will a 81sc muffler fit a 3.2 carrera? both has one in and two out, I just need to make sure the inlet is long enough to bolt directly onto the cat.

Thanks

In a word - YES

In a word - YES.

When in doubt - measure.

Partially. The inlet will bolt up to the cat, and the outlets will line up with the holes in the valance. But my memory is that the indentations in the back of the banana that clear the crossover pipe for the heat (in the area of the support straps) are different on a 3.2 muffler than on an SC. I think I tried that many years ago with my old '86 Carrera and the SC muffler never was properly supported.
