Wink 205/50/15 Tyres

How would a 205/50/15 tyre work with a 6 inch rim width? And how would it look on a lowered narrow bodied car?

I have 205/55/15 all around on my 75 911S with 6 inch rims and lowered suspension with no issues.

Same here.. 205 55 16 the 50 series will be a little shorter tire. May look good on a Lowered car. but your speedo will def be off. Even w/ the 55s my speedo is off . 60mph on my guage is about 55.
When i get new tires Im going to get 225 50's for the Back and the 205 55 for the front keeping the same overall height

Andy - it'll look great. I had the same tires on sixes, and then later 15x7s (that assumes you're referring to 15-inch rims). It'll handle well too, particularly if the car's been lowered and corner balanced.

Check this out. The car has 6s on the front and 7s on the back. Both shod w/205/50/15.

I have no clearance issues. Recently saw a 67 with flat 7s on it ( I think thats what they call the 7 inch rim that has outside appearance of a flat6) & shod with 225/50s ! and no clearance issues. There was a spacer to offset the depth of the wheel.

The 50s show more space in the wheel well, but I think its a better tradeoff for less sidewall flex in a lowered/modified early car. My .02

This how my Targa looks with 205/55-15 tires on 6x15 cookies. The ride height is approximately 24/23.5 with Yokohama ES100 tires.

You should have no problem fitting that size tire and it will look good as well. I have 205/55-15's all around and 225-50's will be added to the rear next spring. As you can see car is lowered way below euro ht.

Thanks guys. Great shots. 205/50/15's it is, with the car lowered "way beyond euro spec" all corner weighted up. I'm fully commited to ther hot rod theme now!
