Post Conflicting spec for valve lash

I have a '87 Carerra. The sticker in the engine compartment states valve lash is .004". However, the sticker(EMISSIONS CONTROL SPECS) on the inside of the engine compartment lid says .004" to .002". This seems to imply that the spec. is .004", +.000", -.002". Does anyone see any harm in setting the lash at .003"? COME ON YOU GUYS WITH '87 -'88, CHECK THE TWO STICKERS!

I always thought that the clearance was .004 for all the 3.2L engines.

There is no change in the spec book for '87 3.2s ... 0.1 mm, the same as all other previous 911 engines!
