Scruffy gets some Rota Fuchs...

side shot, car is pretty dusty having been in storage for nearly a year...

best front angle shot I could manage from inside the garage, lots of rain here today

rear angle shot, wires are for license plate light which I've not yet connected.

I am really happy with the quality of the wheels. I had lindsey wheels and they are a great option also. But when I put these wheels on the car I really noticed the look of the car returning to a more correct period look. I am running 275's on the back and 225's on the front. I've not yet driven the car so I can't be 100% sure I won't have any rub on lock to lock turning, etc. That said, I don't think I will.

Here is a shot with my previous set of wheels

What year do those come off of? I like the look and perhaps even more with polished petals.

Beautiful. I'm glad you like them. Tyson Schmidt has a set of Rota Fox's on his track car. We were at Laguna Seca together last Monday. Tyson ran Hoosier slicks on the Rota's and attacked the course aggressively. They looked great on his car. I think he replaced Cup II's. I't great to finally see these wheels on some P-cars!

the previous set of wheels are sold.

Thanks Moses for making this happen, it was a long wait but they turned out great.

I appreciate that since Tyson had her before me and she was a car that a lot of people read about being developed then up to now, there are a lot of different views on what wheels look best, etc.

All I can tell you fellas is that I've spent a lot of time looking at this car and in my view, she looks better with these new wheels over the old ones. I've even given some consideration to running 15's on her but I think these wheels are a close second.

Tyson mentioned he'd be running these, I'll be interested to see what his impressions of them are as he is fairly hard on parts and I also know he wouldn't risk himself or his track car on wheel to wheel racing if he doubted the integrity of the wheels.

He ran them hard. He was also running Hoosier slicks which will put some huge stress on the wheels. Here's a pic of Tyson up on 3.

James,

My car is the same color as yours. Now I'm thinking I need a set of RSR's!

Moses

You can't have my color, I mixed it 'one off' before the car was painted... ;-)

I think the RSR is the best look for these wheels as it makes them look the most like a set of 15 inch fuchs.

It was Tyson's idea that I get Rota's. I was happy with the Lindsey's but trusted his vision and am happy I did.

I will be getting some mini-lite 17's made and painted flat black and those will have my track tires on them. These and brakes are all that is left to complete my project. GTS seats are on order.

I'll leave that to Tyson. I drive like an old lady, but Tyson pushes his car to the limits of adhesion on every turn. I can't imagine a tougher task for a wheel than surviving an outing with Mr. Schmidt.

thanks Jerry, appreciate it. she has come a long way...

with respect to the debate about these wheels, if you are considering them but have 'concerns' about them then just go and get Lindsey's. I've invested a lot in my car and I wouldn't put that at risk.

Oh no, I don't have any "concerns!" I was one of the first to put the Rota Foxes on my car! I love 'em!!

those look sweet but 15s would look awesome.

It may have been discussed and I missed it --- but it would be great if the rota fuchs were available in some wide 15s. I'd love to have some for my car. I think I read that performance rubber is now available for 15s again...read that somewhere on Pelican-I think.
